💘 Love at First Swipe
Roslyn’s story begins in the digital age with a modern-day fairytale—she met her now-husband, James, on the dating app Plenty of Fish. It truly was love at first swipe! What started as an online connection quickly turned into a deep and lasting love, leading them down the aisle and into forever.
🍷 A Dreamy Yarra Valley Wedding
When it came to choosing their venue, Roslyn and James had always envisioned saying “I do” at a winery. One of their favourite things to do as a couple was explore the picturesque wineries of the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula.
After discovering Immerse Winery in the Yarra Valley on Instagram, they decided to visit for lunch—and it was love at first sight all over again. The atmosphere, the scenery, the vibe—everything felt just right. A week after getting engaged, they had already booked an appointment with the wedding planning team. “We never looked back,” Roslyn said. It was the perfect place for their perfect day.
🗓️ 18 Months of Thoughtful Planning
With 18 months to plan, Roslyn and James had the ideal amount of time to secure their dream team of vendors. From flowers to food to photography, everything came together seamlessly thanks to her dedication and eye for detail.
👗 The Dress Journey Begins at Bella E La Bestia Bridal
When it came time to find the dress, Roslyn knew exactly where to go—Bella E La Bestia Bridal in Maribyrnong. Her twin sister had tied the knot two years earlier and had an amazing experience with us, so Roslyn followed her heart (and her sister’s recommendation!) straight through our doors.
💫 “I Knew It Was the One”
Roslyn came in with a clear vision: she wanted something simple yet flattering, a dress she could elevate with her own touches—sparkling accessories, a statement headband, and a dreamy veil. She had already spotted our beloved Macie gown and had her heart set on it.
Our team encouraged her to try a few different styles first, just to be sure. But once she slipped into Macie, there were no doubts left. “As soon as I put her on, I knew she was the one.”
We were so honoured to host her beautiful bridal tribe—her sisters, mum, and mother-in-law—as she said “yes” to the dress. And yes, she also picked out the matching veil, headband, and jewellery to complete the look!
👑 A Princess Moment
On her big day, Roslyn felt like royalty. “I felt like an actual princess in my dress,” she shared. The lightweight comfort and elegant train made it easy for her to move through every special moment of the day, from walking down the aisle to dancing the night away.
✨ Favourite Wedding Day Memory
The whole day felt like a dream come true, but Roslyn’s favourite moment? Seeing 18 months of planning come to life —every vendor, every detail, every touch of magic all perfectly in place. And, of course, locking eyes with James at the end of the aisle. “Seeing my husband looking as sharp as ever and knowing I got to call him my husband after the ceremony… that moment will stay with me forever.”
💡 Roslyn’s Tips for Future Brides
Roslyn shared some heartfelt advice for other brides-to-be:
-Go into your bridal appointment with a few ideas and inspiration photos.
-Don’t be afraid to ask for advice or try on different styles.
-When you know, you just know ,trust your instincts.
🍦 Only One Regret...
The only tiny regret from an otherwise flawless day? Not wrapping up their wedding photos early enough to enjoy the Gelato Cart during cocktail hour! A sweet detail that (almost) got away.
