As a Melbourne bridal boutique, today we are thrilled to share the love story of Tessa and Jack. Being one of our many happy couples, these two love birds had a romantic church wedding at the St Patrick Cathedral in East Melbourne then followed by a modern and elegant reception at Manor on High.

Tessa and Jack met each other during their university days, where they played team sports together. Their shared passion for sports grew into a deep love for each other, and they knew that they were meant to be together.

The Wedding Venue

For their wedding ceremony, Tessa and Jack chose to tie the knot at the St Patrick Cathedral. Featuring one of the most magnificent architecture, the St Patrick Cathedral provided the perfect backdrop for their romantic ceremony. As they exchanged their vows in front of their loved ones, the stunning stained glass windows and soaring ceilings of the cathedral created a sense of grandeur and majesty, making their special moment even more magical.

Tessa and Jack’s wedding celebration happened at the Manor on High at Epping, and according to Tessa, choosing Manor on High as their wedding reception wasn’t just because its modern and elegant setting, in fact their parents were married at the same venue 25 years ago and funnily enough, they were lucky to have the same wedding coordinate coordinate their wedding!

The Favourite Moment

“The best moment from my wedding day would be seeing Jack’s face when I walk down the aisle,” Tessa said. “I also enjoyed being in my wedding dress, I felt like a true Disney Pricness.”

Finding Her Dream Wedding Gown

Tessa was engaged during the COVID, so the wedding planning technically started 2 years ago before her wedding. Despite the uncertainty and challenges that came with lockdowns and changing restrictions, Tessa and Jack remained determined to create the perfect wedding. With two years to plan, they were able to carefully curate every aspect of their special day, ensuring that no detail was overlooked.

As a true Disney princess fan, Tessa knew exactly what she wanted when it came to her dream Melbourne wedding dresses. She started researching bridal boutiques soon after getting engaged, and it wasn't long before she discovered Bella E La Bestia Bridal through a mutual friend. When she finally met us at the Bridal Expo 2021, she knew that she had found the perfect partner for her wedding dress journey.

Growing up as a massive Disney princess fan, Tessa has always wanted a princess wedding gown with lush laces and lots of sparkles. She had a clear mind on what she after when she visited our Melbourne bridal boutique, which was the Ellierose ballgown from our Melbourne wedding dress collection.

“Try not to stress on the small stuff on the wedding day” Tessa says. This is true, on your wedding day, things may not always go according to plan, and it's important to remember that it's okay. It's not worth stressing or getting upset over small details like candles not being lit or indoor fireworks not going off on cue. Instead, focus on what's truly important - celebrating your love with your partner and enjoying the day to the fullest.
