Kasey and Dale’s wedding at Coombe Yarra Valley is intimate and romantic, which reflected the couple’s personality as well as their vision for their once-in-a-lifetime event. The lovely couple first met at a local gym where they quickly felt the connection between each other, but it took months of awkward small talk before Kasey finally mustered up the courage to ask Dale for his number. After a little encouragement, she convinced him to take her on a date, and the rest is history.

The Wedding Venue

Filled with stunning vineyard and breathtaking mountain views, Kasey and Dale have always been dreaming to get hitched in this magical region of Victoria. The fact that Yarra Valley was also the area where Dale made the proposal has made this region even more special to the couple.

On their first visit to Coombe Yarra Valley, the couple was immediately drawn to its rich history as well as beautifully manicured gardens. The venue's reputation for delicious food and wine sealed the deal, and the couple knew they had found their perfect wedding venue to celebrate their big day.

The Wedding Planning

“We actually gave ourselves two months to prepare for everything, it sounds crazy but the thought of a big wedding did not sound fun to us at all,” Kasey and Dale much preferred an intimate with their closest loved ones around. On the wedding planning side, “less is more” was the couple’s mindset and that’s where Elope Australia came in handy: specializes in micro weddings and elopement, they have helped taken off the workload so much from the couple which exactly reflected their slogan “Buy your outfits, turn up and be married!”

The Favourite Moment on The Day

“Our vows,” Kasey said, as they wrote their own vows and Kasey was a little worried if Dale was going to take it seriously due to his goofy nature. However on the day it turned out Dale wrote the most heartfelt and beautiful vows making it the most unforgettable moment from her wedding day.

Kasey’s second-best memories from her wedding day was how she felt in her dream wedding dress. “My wedding dress just fell in exactly all the right places and I felt like a princess!”

“I wish someone had told me to have a tissue ready when at the altar, boy those tears of joy get you!”. Kasey giggled.

Finding Her Dream Wedding Dress

With literally only two months’ time left until her wedding day, time was definitely not on Kasey’s side when she finally started her wedding dress shopping. “I hadn’t really had time to hit the gym prior so I was leaning towards something more of A-line wedding dresses with long-sleeves,” Kasey said. She had been searching for Melbourne wedding shops on Instagram and that’s how she came across Bella E La Bestia.

Kasey recalled she didn’t actually buy the same dress that she had in her mind, “I thought I was after wedding gowns with lace, like a boho type wedding dress with sleeves.” When she popped in our Melbourne bridal boutique, and she was thrilled with so many different wedding dress options and how accommodating our wedding dress specialists were: “I went the complete opposite way and this was because I had so many choices and the bridal team were super helpful. They gave me confidence to try wedding dresses I wouldn’t have even looked at and I felt like they were genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect wedding dress.”

Despite her initial preference for a boho-style wedding dress with lace, Kasey ultimately chose a plain and elegant fit-and-flare wedding dress with a chic square neckline and stunning details in the back. "When I tried on the wedding gown, I was struck by its simplicity and beautiful detail in the back - I knew it was the one," Kasey said.

Kasey admitted that she felt a little rushed during the wedding planning process due to the limited time they had.
